It’s time to take the plunge into the blogosphere, or at least put my toes in the water. Hopefully, you will find something here to inform and entertain, or perhaps remind you of your own experiences of Africa, public health, smallpox and all that goes with living in another culture.
Having just finished my three-year journey of writing a historical memoir, Vaccines & Bayonets, I’m now starting the quest for a publisher. It seems like a good time to reflect on how I got from there to here, share it with you, the reader, and initiate a conversation.
I invite you to like, share and follow my blog. And because I value your time, I promise not to load up your inbox. Look for a new post a couple of times a month, with an occasional extra when there’s news to share as Vaccines & Bayonets travels the road toward publication.
Thank you for visiting, and see you next time,
Bee
Welcome to the blogging world Bee! You are amazing!
This has been a long, sometimes frustrating, mostly tiring but still a gratifying and fulfilling experience for you. Most would have quit long ago, but not you. Congratulations on a job well done. You are my hero!
Thanks, Janis. It was a story that had to be told, so writing it has been a great joy! Even though I might be tired after 10-hour days at the computer, the writing process was almost always invigorating. I hope you have fun exploring the gallery and the book excerpts. And thank you so much for your encouragement all along the way!
Well done Bee. I could almost hear the crowds and feel what it might have been like. Your writing is riveting, drawing the reader in, wanting to know more.
Well done…….Love you
Oh, thank you, Angie. I’m so gad it drew you in. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement!
